In 2018, while I was living in Dublin, Ireland, I applied for a working holiday visa to Canada. After being selected, I started job hunting remotely—and that’s when I got connected with Finhaven Technology. When I arrived in Canada in October 2019, I began working there as a UX/UI Designer. This was my very first overseas work experience and remains a memorable milestone in my design career.

During my time at Finhaven, I worked on several projects including the Finhaven Tech website, the Finhaven Private Market platform, and the Finhaven Club platform. This piece focuses on the Finhaven Club platform project.
The Finhaven Club Website was designed to onboard users into the Finhaven Club (FinClub) platform, creating a space for investment-related content sharing and community engagement. The platform aimed to provide users with valuable financial insights, offering access to investment materials and expert analysis. Additionally, it showcased a list of investments being traded, helping users navigate the market more effectively.
The project included key features such as content monetization opportunities, allowing users to generate revenue through shared materials. It also introduced community-driven insights to enhance user engagement. During the second phase of development, the platform was planned to incorporate e-wallet capabilities, PayPal integration, and a full transaction history system under the Fin Point Model, designed to support seamless financial interactions.
Despite its potential, the project was eventually put on hold before commercialization. However, the design process focused on user experience, competitive analysis, and prototyping, ensuring that the platform could provide a clear, intuitive, and efficient experience for investors.
The design process for the FinClub Website presented challenges in organizing content with similar functions. During the site map planning phase, content created by FinClub that added value to the platform often appeared as free content, making it difficult to distinguish commercial from non-commercial materials.
A key consideration for the management and marketing teams was balancing a free community environment while enabling revenue generation from key information.
To address this, the focus was on:
Provides insights into macro analysis, investment strategies, industries, equity, fixed income, and alternative investments. Users can explore:
